Obituary of Eugene C. Beeman

Eugene C. “Gene” Beeman, 53, of Chemung, NY, passed away surrounded by his loving family, on January 29, 2018, at the Cleveland Clinic in OH following a brief illness.

He was born on March 9, 1964 in Montrose, PA, the son of Glen and Bonnie Herman Beeman.   

Gene’s great love was his family and spending time with them, especially his beloved grandchildren. He was a Veteran of the US Marines. Gene worked as a Machinist at Toshiba for many years. He was an avid gun collector, and in his younger years, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. His love of the outdoors and enjoying nature was his greatest pastime. He enjoyed sitting evenings by the campfire and conversing with family and friends. Gene was a past member of the Athens American Legion Post #246.

Eugene is survived by beloved wife of 27 years, Michelle at home, children, Ashley and Aaron Geisinger of Waverly, NY, Joshua Beeman and Taylor Shepard of Sayre, PA, and Rebekah and CJ Doane of Chemung, NY, grandchildren, Nathan, Annaleise, Nolan, Carson, Cayson, Cohen, and Gatlin. He is also survived by his father, Glen Beeman of Lockwood, NY, mother, Bonnie Beeman of Lockwood, NY, sister and brother-in-law, Sherrie and Tom Williams of Lockwood, NY, and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Friends and family may call on Friday, February 9, 2018 from 4pm to 6pm at the Jay E. Lowery Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 225 South Main Street, Athens, PA.  A Celebration of Life Service will follow at the funeral home at 6pm with the Rev. Linda Rogers officiating.
