Obituary of Ronald L. Kline

Ronald Lee Kline, 69, of Rome, PA passed away peacefully with his family by his side on February 15, 2018 at the Robert Packer Hospital, Sayre, PA following an extended illness.  

He was born on December 13, 1948 in Sayre, PA, the son of the late Chester G. and Mertie (Brannaka) Kline.

Ronald was a Veteran of the US Army, serving during the Vietnam War. He loved spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed camping with his wife, fishing and hunting.

He is predeceased by his brothers; Richard L. Kline and Chester Kline, Jr.

Ronald is survived by his beloved wife of 20 years; Barbara at home, children; Bobbie Jo Kline and Brian Gaitings of Towanda, PA and Sherry and Jack Talada of Rome, PA; step-children; Denise and Al Fuller of Rome, PA and Darin and Katie Decker of Sayre, PA, 10 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother; Phillip Kline of Waverly, NY, sister; JoAnne Wolcott of Sevierville, TN, several nieces, nephews, and cousins, mother-in-law; Berneita Wright of Sayre, PA, brothers-in-law; John Wright of Towanda, PA, who was very helpful to Ronald during his long battle with his illness and Jerry Wright of Sayre, PA, brother-in-law and sister-in-law; William and Veronica Wright of Sayre, PA and sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law; Donna and Robert Farley of Athens, PA, Vivian and Joseph Harbst of the Carolinas, and Beverly and John Strong of Wyalusing, PA.

Honoring Ronald’s request, there will be no calling hours or funeral services. The family is being assisted by Jay E. Lowery Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Athens, PA.

Memorial donations may be made in Ronald’s memory to: Alzheimer’s Association, 441 West Kirkpatrick Street, Syracuse, NY 13204-1361 to help the fight against this disease that affects many families.
