Obituary of Nathan "Nate" Robert Nocchi

Nathan “Nate” Robert Nocchi, 13, of Waverly, NY passed away unexpectedly on Friday, February 16, 2018.

He was born on November 2, 2004 in Sayre, PA the beloved son of Robert and Lisa (Palmer) Nocchi, and little brother to Mike, Chris, and Nikki.

Nate was a 7th grade student at Waverly Middle School. He loved wrestling, his teammates, and his coaches. He loved spending time with his family, especially on their family vacations. Nate loved the times they spent at the beach together. Nate was a caring, giving, and out-going young man who could light up any room he walked into. He could talk to and make friends with anyone he met. He brought joy to everyone whose lives he touched. But at the same time, he always was full of laughs and willing to pull pranks on anyone at any time.

Nate loved the holidays, but Christmas was his favorite. He was the one who loved doing all the decorating and each year requested at least one new decoration. He enjoyed his many sleepovers with his friends, sharing the famous chocolate chip bread and just hanging out and gaming.

He had a great love for all animals, especially his beloved dogs, Jinji, Flash, and Bozi: his cat, Mini. He also enjoyed shooting guns with his dad, roller skating, riding dirt bikes, swimming, horseback riding, and jet skiing. He was well-known for his sneaker collection and most recently was inquiring about having a pair of pink ones. Nate looked up to his brothers and sister, and he could be seen at any time dressed the same as his big brother, Chris.

He is predeceased by his grandpa, Claude Palmer and uncle, Gary Palmer.

Nate is survived by his parents, Robert and Lisa Nocchi at home, siblings, Michael Nocchi of Waverly, NY, Christopher Nocchi and Visaka Kulatunga of Waverly, NY, and Nikki Nocchi of Waverly, NY, maternal grandmothers, Bea Palmer of Waverly, NY and Mary Lou Palmer of Waverly, NY, paternal grandparents, Robert and Donna Nocchi of Sayre, PA.
