Obituary of Thomas William Cook III

Thomas William "Tom" Cook III, 21, of Sayre, PA, passed unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 7, 2018 due to the result of an automobile accident.
He was born on November 13, 1996, in Sayre, PA, the son of Thomas W. Cook, II and Jacquline Miner.
Tom was a 2015 graduate of Sayre High School, where he was a member of the Swimming, Baseball and Golf Teams. He attended Mansfield University, where he made many close friends. Tom was employed with JC Penney, Beeman's Restaurant, and Chris Pond's Tree Service. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them and his many friends, and his loyal companion, his dog; Rocky. Tom loved his music, spending many hours playing his guitar, singing, writing, and recording his songs. He also enjoyed spending time fishing with his Grandpa Park at their cottage on Mormon Lake in Ridgebury. Tom loved watching sports, especially this year when his favorite football team, the Philadelphia Eagles brought home the Super Bowl Trophy.
He is predeceased by his maternal grandfather; Charles Miner, paternal grandparents; Thomas and Janet Cook, and aunt; Grace Miner.
Thomas is survived by his parents; Jacquline Miner and Eric Keir of Sayre, PA and Thomas William Cook, II of Sayre, PA, his little sister; Isabella Miner of Sayre, PA, brothers; Travis Keir of Indiana, PA, Zachary Keir of Sayre, PA, and Derrick Keir of Sayre, PA, maternal grandparents; Robert and Kay Park of Sayre, PA and Dixie and Irvin Smith of Sayre, PA. He is also survived by his maternal uncles; Charles Richard Miner, II of Sayre, PA and Ardil Keeler of Sayre, PA, paternal uncle; Frank (Connie) Cook of Candor, NY, aunt; Michelle (Vince) Springer of Vestal, NY, paternal cousins; Nichole Cook and Bella Springer, maternal cousins; Charles Richard Miner, III, Ashley Parish, Mason Keeler, Riley Keeler, Amanda Keegan, and the extended Keir family. Tom will be missed by all those who knew and loved him, including his close friends; Mike Rogers, Nick Sweet, Nick Twigg, Adam Moore, and his Mansfield Frat Brothers.
Family and friends may call on Monday, March 12, 2018 from 11am-1pm at the Jay E. Lowery Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 225 South Main Street, Athens, PA. Funeral Services will follow at the funeral home at 1pm with Rev. Linda Rogers officiating.
Burial will follow in Tioga Point Cemetery, Athens, PA.
