Obituary of Eileen T. (Spiegel) Kreider McNeal

Eileen T. (Spiegel) Kreider McNeal, 75, passed away surrounded by her beloved family on Saturday, April 21, 2018 at the Robert Packer Hospital.

She was born on October 2, 1942 in Philadelphia, PA, the daughter of the late William and Mary (Donahue) Spiegel.

Eileen was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved spending time with her family which was the focus of her life, especially being with her grandchildren no matter what the occasion was. In the family and to many, she will always be remembered as the “Mediator”. Eileen was one of the sweetest people anyone would ever hope to meet, and she will be missed by all those who knew and loved her.

She was an Ophthalmology Technician and was employed for many years with Dr. Sambursky and Twin Rivers Eye Care/Dr. Salzberg, prior to retiring. She was an avid photographer and enjoyed crocheting and astrology.

She is predeceased by her sister; Maryjane Givens.

Eileen is survived by her loving children; Andrea Kreider of Endicott, NY, David Kreider and Stacy Bowman of Endicott, NY, and Mark Kreider of Athens, PA, beloved grandchildren; Brittany Kreider, Trey and Lindsey Kreider, Joel Kreider, Nicole Hine, Rachel Hine, Matt Bowman, and Morgan Bowman, her great-grandchildren whom she adored; Griffin, Riley, Ridder, Maddox, and Jessica, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Family and friends may call on Tuesday, April 24, 2018 from 11am-1pm at the Jay E. Lowery Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 225 South Main Street, Athens, PA. Funeral Services will follow at 1pm at the Funeral Home.

Burial will follow at the Sheshequin Valley Cemetery, Sheshequin, PA.
