Obituary of Dawson Patrick-Lee Franks

FOREVER IN OUR HEARTS                                                                                                                                                                  BABY DAWSON                                                                                                                                                                                          April 7, 2018- June 19,2018

Dawson Patrick-Lee Franks was born on April 7, 2018, at the Montrose Memorial Hospital, in Montrose, Colorado. He came into this world at 9 pounds and 6 ounces, with a full head of dark hair and built like a big ol' bear. Dawson was big and strong from the start and was lifting his head from the day he was born. He had these big beautiful eyes and chubby, chubby cheeks.

Dawson had a way of wrapping anyone he met around his little fingers. He was always moving his arms and legs around, smiling really, really big at his mommy, and loved playing this game called, "Let's take turns sticking our tongues out at each other." Dawson loved to communicate with his "goo-goo's and gaga's." He was always telling stories, and if you asked him questions about his stories, he would blush and smile really hard. Dawson had the BIGGEST bear paws, and feet. He loved to go outside and look up at the tree tops and how they moved in the wind. Nobody ever wanted to see Dawson cry, but he did have the most adorable pout face. His lips would turn in a perfect upside down "U," and his bottom lip would tremble, before he showed off his big big vocal cords. Dawson was a really happy boy but was not happy if his mommy didn't have his dinner made right on the dot. He was very serious about his dinner, just like his mommy is. His belly would get really, really big when he was full, and he would drink till he was in milk-coma. Dawson would let his mommy rock him to sleep and had a tendency to have funny dreams, because he would laugh hysterically in his sleep. He loved to swim and couldn't wait for "Tubby-Time" at night. Dawson loved being out and about and loved going on new adventures and car rides with his best buddy, who was his mommy. He wouldn't let his mommy out of his sight! Although, he really loved his mommy, Dawson had lots of friends. He loved watching his Nana work in the garden and taking naps at his Grammie and Grampie Salernos. He also, never wanted to miss his daily FaceTimes with his "Me-Me," Logan, and Gianna. He loved sitting on his Grandma D's lap, and chilling by the pool with his Grandpa Buck and "Ton-Ton." Dawson loved going to see his Daddy and trying on his boots. He, also, loved having his photoshoots with his Grandma Pam and Papa Henry. Dawson loved listening to Reba with his "Auntie" AnnMarie, and making, his "Benji," play "Bicycle" and "Horsey" on his knee.

On June 19, 2018, Dawson was found unresponsive within 18 hours of his vaccinations. Dawson's life was just beginning and ended way too soon. "Dawson," means "beloved," and "to bring together," and although his time was short here, that is exactly what he was and did. Dawson brought a love like no other into his family and touched the lives of every family member and friend. He taught his mommy, how to be a mommy, and showed her what true love and happiness was. There wasn't a day his mommy was in a bad mood, because she knew as long as she had him, there was nothing to ever be sad about. She knew he was her greatest accomplishment and knew it was them against the world. His mommy knows his Great-Great-Great Grandma Eynon has him now, and knows he is in good hands. His mommy now can hear him when the tree tops whistle in the wind, and she knows he comes around when a yellow butterfly appears.

His friends and family will all gather for a ceremony at 1866 Ridgebury Road, Sayre, PA on Sunday, July 1, 2018 at 5:30pm, accompanied by all his favorite forest animals. In a spot covered with trees-where the sun shines through, is the special place, where this special little boy will rest. Immediately following the service, all are invited to gather at the Ridgebury Sportsman's Club.
