Obituary of Fay H. Coyne
Fay H. Coyne, 69, of Waverly, NY passed away on Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at the Robert Packer Hospital, Sayre with his loving wife, Michelle, and family by his side.
He was born on May 22, 1949 in Sayre, PA, the son of Robert and Joan (Platt) Stevens.
Fay was a Veteran of the US Army, serving during the Vietnam War. His focus in life was always about family and friends. He enjoyed quiet time spent with his wife, Michelle, and being surrounded by his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Family time was always first with him and spending time with friends. Every day, Fay, could be seen on the phone staying in touch with those he loved. If one wasn't home when he called, he would move on to the next one, but always reaching out to them daily.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and NASCAR. He also loved buying instant lottery tickets promising that he only spent limited money on them but could always be seen with one in his hand.
He is predeceased by his brothers, Donald Coyne and Ray "Floyd" Coyne, step-daughter, Jackie Rameriz, and brother-in-law, Carl Brewer.
Fay is survived by his beloved wife of 13 years, Michelle at home, children, Fay H. Coyne, Jr. of Waverly, NY, Stacey Bisgrove of Ithaca, NY, Thomas Coyne of Newfield, NY, Stormy Coyne of Elmira, NY, Destiny Coyne of Towanda, PA, Jennifer Coyne of Elmira, NY, Robert Coyne of Elmira, NY, Anthony Coyne of Ithaca, NY, James Coyne of Waverly, NY, and Timothy Coyne of Ithaca, NY, grandchildren, Maryann, Rye-lee, Makiah, Emme, William, Krisley, Shaylee, Shannon, Joleen, Lisa, Thomas, Jr., Elizabeth, Jalissa, Greg, Imari, Hayly, Tryce, Mikaela, Robert, Taylor, Erica, Alexis, Hailey, Avery, Damien, Sabrina, Isaiah, Selina, and Ciaria, and great-grandchildren, Dallas, Elona, Kailynn, Bri, Dakota, Keyoni, Razier, Tylor, Jayce, and Christopher, Jr. He is also survived by his parents, Joan and Robert Stevens of Sayre, PA, sister and brother-in-law, Diane and James Barron of Lansing, NY, brother and sister-in-law, Ralph and Paula Coyne of Ithaca, NY, sister, Gloria Brewer of Sayre, PA, special cousin, Victor Carnrike, many aunts and uncles, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Friends and family may call on Monday, August 20, 2018 from 1:30pm-3:30pm at the Luckner Funeral Home, 439 Park Avenue, Waverly, NY. Funeral services will be held at 3:30pm at the funeral home with Rev. Linda Rogers officiating. The family is being assisted by Jay E. Lowery Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc.
