Obituary of Sharon M. Clinton

Sharon M. Clinton, 62, of Sayre, PA passed away on Thursday, October 4, 2018 at Sayre Health Care Center surrounded by her family.

She was born on March 11, 1956 in Elmira, NY, the daughter of the late Charles and Addie (Page) Barton.

Sharon graduated from Spencer-VanEtten High School. During high school, she worked at Paul Mackey's Chicken Farm. Following graduation, Sharon was employed with the Red Jacket Motel as a Housekeeper for many years. Sharon loved her family and spending time with them, especially her grandchildren. When her children were growing up she enjoyed attending their sporting events or anything else they were involved in. She had a deep love for all animals and throughout her life has cared for many cats, dogs, and rabbits. She enjoyed watching all the mystery shows on TV, especially the SUV programs and Criminal Minds. Sharon also enjoyed collecting all kinds of jewelry and doing word search puzzles.

She is predeceased by daughter, Elizabeth Clinton and brother, Charles Barton.

Sharon is survived by her children, James Clinton, Jr. and Michelle Southard of Horseheads, NY, Stephen Clinton of Waverly, NY, and daughter Josandra Clinton of Binghamton, NY, grandchildren Stella, Hoyt, Adrianah, Hunter, and Keegan, her sister who helped care for her, Vicki Bell of Waverly, NY, sisters and brothers-in-law, Linda and Henry Bennett of Erin, NY, Carol and Michael Campbell of Newfield, NY, Donna Austin and Donny Hatch of Erin, NY, Deborah and Wayne Lynch of Waverly, NY, and Audrey Barton and Victor Carnrike of Barton, NY, brother and sister-in-law, David and Jeanne Barton of LeCanto, FL, several nieces, nephews, and cousins, and her cat, Fluffy.

Friends and family may call on Monday, October 8, 2018 from 12pm -2pm at the Jay E. Lowery Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 225 South Main Street, Athens, PA. Funeral services will follow at the funeral home at 2pm with Rev. Robert Briggs officiating.

Burial will follow in Hicks Cemetery, Baldwin, NY.
