Obituary of Elizabeth A. Walker

Elizabeth A. (Barber) Walker, 90, of Athens, PA, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 24, 2018 with her family by her bedside at Robert Packer Hospital, Sayre.

She was born on May 8, 1928 in Eatonville, PA, the daughter of the late Charles and Helen (Brotzman) Barber.

Elizabeth was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister. She was employed with Westinghouse in Elmira, prior to retiring. Elizabeth graduated in 1948 from Sayre High School. She enjoyed bowling, bingo and playing cards. Elizabeth was a member of Greater Valley Assembly of God, Athens.

She is predeceased by her husband, Howard Walker and son, John Sidey.

Elizabeth is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, David and Carol Pierce of Gainesboro, TN, daughter and son-in-law, Laura and Zilnord Volmar of Sayre, PA, daughter-in-law, Lauri Sidey Ruth of Waverly, NY, grandchildren, James and Michelle Pierce, Denise and Jake Rosin, Jennifer Pierce, Adam and Jessica Sidey, Jessica Stedge and fiancé Robin Scott Robinson, and Ryan and Traci Frisbie, great-grandchildren, Justin Graham, Alex Pierce, Dylan Pierce, Devon Pierce, Jaden Rosin, Paige Randall, Mason Randall, Nehemiah Stewart, Everly Frisbie, Joanna Sidey, and Jonathon Sidey, brother and sister-in-law, Merlin and Charlotte Barber of Richmond, VA, nieces and their spouses, Debbie and John Santulli of Waverly, NY, Elaine and Earl Tappan of Las Vegas, NV, and Charlotte and Gary Robinson of Richmond, VA, several great-nieces and great-nephews, and cousin, Malcolm Barber of Wilkes-Barre, PA.

Friends and family may call on Friday, October 26, 2018 from 2pm-4pm at Jay E. Lowery Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 225 South Main Street, Athens, PA. Funeral services will follow at the funeral home at 4pm with the Rev. Chris Gray officiating.

Burial will be in Tioga Point Cemetery, Athens, PA.
