Obituary of Orphellia A. Sklarkowski

Orphellia "Fanny" A. Sklarkowski, 90, passed away on Friday, October 12, 2018 at her home with her family by her side.

She was born on December 30, 1927 in Sayre, PA, the daughter of the late Brando and Amelia (Gaghetti) Melani.

Orphellia's priority was always her family. She was a stay at home mom raising her children. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Orphellia was a member of Bethany Christian Fellowship, Athens. She enjoyed bowling and did so well into her 80's. She also enjoyed going to activities at Chemung View, especially Bingo.

She is predeceased by her husband, Raymond, son, Christopher, sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary and Doug Fraley and Irene and Pete Zimmer, and brother, Joe Melani.

Orphellia is survived by her children, Raymond and Lorraine Sklarkowski of Athens, PA, Michael and Lina Sklarkowski of Corpus Christi, TX, Philip and Debbie Sklarkowski of Sayre, PA, and Janet and Alston Teeter of Sayre, PA, grandchildren, Christopher Sklarkowski of Corpus Christi, TX, Brian and LaNae Sklarkowski of Waverly, NY, Matthew and Melissa Sklarkowski of Waverly, NY, Katrina and Matthew Schweiger of Ithaca, NY, and Stephanie Teeter of CO, great-grandchildren, Zander and Aidic Sklarkowski, sister and brother-in-law, Rita and Ron Billings of Sayre, PA, sister-in-law, Lois Melani of AZ, and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and her church family.

Family and friends may call on Saturday, November 3, 2018 from 10am-11am at Bethany Christian Fellowship, 311 South Elmira Street, Athens, PA. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at the church at 11am with the Rev. Mark Waters officiating.

Burial will be in Tioga Point Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
