Obituary of Katie L. Decker
Katie L. Decker, 41, of Sayre, PA passed away with her family by her side on Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, PA.
She was born on August 14, 1977 in Sayre, PA, the daughter of Gary L., Sr. and Donna Talada Stillman.
Katie was a graduate of Waverly High School, Class of 1995. While in school, she played softball. She loved her family, spending time with them, and was looking forward to the birth of her twin granddaughters. Katie loved the beach, and especially loved their family vacation trips to FL. She was an avid Raiders and Eagles Fan.
She is predeceased by her brother, Jamie Stillman, father, Gary Stillman, Sr., maternal grandparents, Robert and Ruth Talada, paternal grandparents, Glen and Ruth Stillman, and step-father-in-law, Ron Kline.
Katie is survived by her beloved husband of 14 ½ years, Darin Decker at home, loving daughters, Samantha Soltis of Sayre, PA and Abigail Decker of Athens, PA, her favorite child and constant companion, her dog, Jacob, her soon to be born twin granddaughters, and mother and step-father, Donna Stillman and Steve Summers of Waverly, NY. She is also survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Gary and Chrissy Stillman of Waverly, NY, several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins, father-in-law and mother-in-law, David and Jenny Decker of Ocala, FL, sister-in-law, Denise Fuller of Rome, PA, and mother-in-law, Barb Kline of Rome, PA.
Family and friends may call on Saturday, November 10, 2018 from 5pm-7pm at the Jay E. Lowery Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 225 South Main Street, Athens, PA. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at the funeral home on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at 7pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Katie’s memory to: Guthrie Federal Credit Union, 104 North Elmer Avenue, Sayre, PA 18840 to assist in raising and educating her twin granddaughters.
