Obituary of Keith L. Taber

Keith L. Taber, Sr., 80, of Athens, PA passed away unexpectedly at his home on Thursday, December 6,2018.

He was born on November 27, 1938 in Buffalo, NY, the son of the late Leo and Mildred (Lewis) Taber.

Keith was a Veteran of the US Navy. While serving, he was a member of the Honor Guard for President Dwight D. Eisenhower. Upon returning from the service, he worked as a truck driver his whole life, until retiring. Keith loved to hunt and fish, and on most occasions his son, Keith, Jr. was his fishing buddy. He also enjoyed sitting on the porch and telling stories. Keith was a past member of the Athens Township Volunteer Fire Company.

He is predeceased by his wife, Sherry Taber in 2007.

Keith is survived by his son and companion, Keith L. Taber, Jr. and Tina Driesbaugh of Barton, NY, grandson, Colt Taber of Troy, PA, and several siblings, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Following Keith's wishes, there will be no calling hours or services. The family is being assisted by Jay E. Lowery Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc, Athens, PA.
