Obituary of David "Dave" E. Eberhart

David "Dave" E. Eberhart, 60, of Athens, PA, passed away at his home with his wife by his side on Friday, December 22, 2018 following an extended illness.

He was born on December 4, 1958 in Baltimore, MD to the late Paul and Beverly (Rudolph) Eberhart.

Dave was an over the Road Truck Driver for many years with Four Seasons and Penn's Best. He also was employed with Chesapeake in the gas industry. His great love was his family and especially spending time with his grandchildren. He enjoyed camping and his yearly family trips to Knoebels. He also enjoyed four-wheeling and taking his grandchildren for rides on his new toy, the golf cart. He was an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan and his favorite food was "Chocolate". He enjoyed NASCAR for many years because of Dale Earnhardt, Sr.

David is survived by his beloved wife of 19 years; Tammy Chapman Eberhart at home, sons and daughters-in-law; Jason and Amber Cable of Wanatah, IN and Ryan and Leann God of Waverly, NY, daughters and sons-in-law; Erin and Adam Lasater of Hephzibah, GA and Amber and Ray Redcay of Epharta, PA, grandchildren; Gage, Bryan, Skyler, Dalilah, Tiana, Abram, and Jacob, siblings and their spouses; Karen Mead of Ephrata, PA, Diane and Charles Miller of Lititzs, PA, Steven and Donna Eberhart of Ephrata, PA, and Susan and Jason Kinsey of Ephrata, PA, special aunt and uncle; Judy and Barry, Sr. Turner of Ephrata, PA, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is also survived by his in-laws; Kathy "Ma" and Joseph "Dad" Chapman, Patricia and Tammy "#1" Chapman, and Jody and Terry Chilson, and numerous close friends.

Friends and family may call on Friday, December 28, 2018 from 2pm-4pm at the Jay E. Lowery Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Athens, PA. Funeral services will follow at the funeral home at 4pm with the Rev. Rodney Lee officiating.

Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
