Obituary of Constance L. Dibble
Constance L. "Connie" Dibble, 71, of Athens, PA, passed away at her home on Thursday, February 28, 2019 with her beloved husband and family by her side.
She was born on July 18, 1947 in Pensacola, FL, the daughter of Donald M. and Edna Mae (Leonard) Morgan.
Connie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her family was always her priority. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Connie enjoyed crafts, and the one she enjoyed most was woodworking with her husband, Joe, as he would build the projects and she would complete the painting and finishing of them. She enjoyed fishing and camping with family, especially at Hickory Park in Owego.
She was employed with Robert Packer Hospital in the Housekeeping Department and was a self-employed Hair Dresser out of her home. Connie also enjoyed crocheting and loved angels and had a large collection of many different ones.
She is predeceased by her father Donald M. Morgan, mother Edna Mae Smith, and brother Howie Smith.
Connie is survived by her beloved husband of 53 years Orind, Jr. "Joe" at home, son and daughter-in-law Orind "Jody" Dibble III and Sue Thompson of Athens, PA, grandchildren Casey Dibble and Corrine Rivera of Lockwood, NY, Zackery and Kelsey Dibble of Sayre, PA, and Orind "Jay" Dibble, IV and Jamie Roberts of Athens, PA, great-grandchildren Lily, Grant, Layla, Liam, Rohan, Olivia, and Sophia. She is also survived by her brother and sister-in-law Donald "Don" and Cindy Morgan of Sayre, PA sister Donna Angelo of Sayre, PA, sisters and brothers-in-law Kim and Dick Barton of Waverly, NY, and Kelly Bostwick and Bob Wilkinson of Waverly, NY, aunts Janet Lineberger of Ulster, PA, aunt and uncle Susan and Bob Gillan of Waverly, NY, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Family and friends may call on Saturday, March 9, 2019 from 1pm-3pm at the Jay E. Lowery Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 225 South Main Street, Athens, PA. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 3pm at the funeral home with the Rev. Larry Jennings, Jr. officiating.
