Obituary of Steven E. Robinson

Steven E. Robinson, 59, of Waverly, NY passed away on Sunday, March 24, 2019 peacefully at home after a very long hard 7 1/2 year battle with cancer.

Steven was a devoted husband, “Poppee”, dad, son, sibling and friend. He also made time to be there for anyone who needed him no matter what he was going through on a personal level. Steven touched the lives of all that met him, leaving one of a kind lasting impression to all those who got the privilege to spend time with him.

Steven truly lived life to the fullest rather spending his early years as an EMT, Volunteer Firefighter, avid bowler winning many awards, watching WWE or NASCAR rooting on Mark Martin along with his favorite sports teams Miami Dolphins and NY Yankees! He loved his sports but not as much as he loved his family. He spent his later years a devoted “Poppee” to his many grandkids and adopted grandkids. Spending as much times as he could at their various activities, rolling around with them on the floor like the kid he was at heart or facetiming when he couldn’t be closer. His wife, kids, and grandkids were his pride and reason to fight for more time as long as he did. Leaving behind a grand example of strength, resilience, and determination.

Steven was born to the late Sabin and Mary (Chandler) Robinson on September 26, 1959.

Steven is survived by his wife of 23 years Katherin Robinson (Mott) at home. Children Kellie (Chris) Perkins of Mustang, OK, Michelle (Charlie) Vanbuskirk of Tully, NY, Richard (Shannon) Santos of Spencer, NY, Nancy (Cory) Sykora of Waverly, NY, Ronald Santos of Waverly, NY, Joseph Robinson of Allentown, PA, Melissa (Reagan) Spencer of Columbus, OH, Ernest (Brittany) Robinson of Sayre, PA, and the many more that came to call him dad. Siblings Ernest (Pam) Robinson of Sayre, PA, Gary (Leah) Robinson of Sayre, PA, James (Debbie) Robinson of Waverly, NY, Jeff Robinson of Chemung, NY, and Donna Evans of Elmira, NY. As well as 22 grandchildren, 2 great-granddaughters, numerous nieces, nephews, and relatives.

A Celebration of Steven’s Life will be held on Saturday, March 30, 2019 from 1pm-6pm at the Athens American Legion Post #246, 103 Public Street, Athens, PA. We ask that all that attend to bring a dish to pass if they are able.
