Obituary of Grace C. Lee

Grace C. Lee, 91, of Athens, PA passed away on May 3, 2019 at the Athens Health and Rehabilitation Center with her family by her side following an extended illness.

She was born on December 27, 1927 in Towanda, PA to the late John and Arlene Saxe Granger.

Grace worked briefly at the Guthrie Clinic and then she made the decision to be a stay at home wife and mother. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. After raising her children, she volunteered form several years at the Robert Packer Hospital. She was a talented  pianist and singer. Grace loved sitting down and doing crafts with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a lifetime member of North Waverly Chapel.

She is predeceased by her daughter, Virginia Oliver.

Grace is survived by her beloved husband of 72 years, James @ home, children John Lee of Durango, CO, Karen Lee-Benjamin and Jack Benjamin of Waverly, NY, Matthew and Mae Lee of Columbus, GA, and Mary Miller, several grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren.

Family and friends may call on Friday, May 10, 2019 from 12pm-2pm at the North Waverly Chapel, Route 34, Waverly, NY. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 2pm at the Church with the Rev. William Wells officiating.
