Obituary of Elizabeth "Betti" Rita Gordon

Elizabeth "Betti" R. (Langan) Gordon, 73, of Troy, PA passed away with her family by her side on Saturday, May 18, 2019 at the Towanda Memorial Hospital.

She was born on March 28, 1946 in New Jersey, the daughter of the late James and Mary (Walsh) Langan.

Betti was a graduate of St. Rose Catholic School in Belmar, NJ. She worked for many years at the Ansell, Zaro, Grimm, and Aaron Law Firm in Ocean, NJ. When Betti and her husband, Bob, moved to the Troy, PA area, she started at Western Alliance in Troy. She was a faithful and dedicated employee and at the time of her retirement, she was the Administrative Assistant. Betti was a member of the West Burlington Methodist Church.

She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. Betti enjoyed doing needlepoint and made each of her family members Christmas stockings. She also loved to cook, bake, garden, and was an avid reader.

She is predeceased by her sister, Nancy Bogardus.

Betti is survived by her beloved husband of 43 years, Robert "Bob" Gordon at home, daughters and sons-in-law, Lisa and Nicholas Visco of Hillsboro, NJ; Kelly Elizabeth and Tony Holtzman of Troy, PA; and Kathleen and Andrew Gold of Kansas City, MO; grandchildren, Lauren, Nicole, Aiden, TJ, Emme, Ian, Leah, and Caleb; sister and brother-in-law, Mary Jane and Charles Ardvison of St. Petersburg, FL; brother, James Langan of WA; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Family and friends may call on Tuesday, May 21, 2019 from 3pm-6pm at the West Burlington United Methodist Church, 245 Route 6, West Burlington, PA. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 6pm at the church with the Rev. Dr. Michele Somerville officiating.
