James H. Woodward, 94, of Sayre, PA passed away on Monday, June 24, 2019 at the Bradford County Manor, Troy, PA following an extended illness. He was born on August 4, 1924 in Canton, PA, the son of the late Homer N. and Hella May (Stone) Woodward. James was a graduate of Troy High School and obtained his Associates Degree from Elmira College. He was a farmer for Archie Monroe Farms for many years and worked on several local farms. James also worked at the Bradford County Day Care and Edgewood Dairy. He was a talented wood worker and sold many of his crafts. James was a member of the Sayre Christian Church for many years. He was preceded in death by his first wife Louise Woodward, 2nd wife, Betty Williams Woodward, daughter Charlene Woodward, and brothers Merle, Murry, and Walter Woodward. James is survived by his daughter Jamie and William Bryant of FL, son Carson Woodward, stepdaughters Nancy Wells of Athens, PA, 4 grandchildren, sister Wilma Crosby of CA, sister-in-law Sandy Woodward, and many nieces and nephews. Graveside Services will be held at Tioga Point Cemetery, 803 North Main Street, Athens, PA on Monday, July 8, 2019 at 11am with burial to follow.
