Daniel Mark Fiske, 48, of Waverly, NY passed away peacefully Saturday, February 4, 2012 at 7:28pm with family and friends by his side. He was born on October 11, 1963 in Sayre, PA the son of Richard and Neva Allen Fiske. Dan was diagnosed with a rare Brain Cancer in January of 2010. He was a strong person with a strong heart. In his last couple of years, he showed us all how strong he truly was. Instead of giving up hope or becoming discouraged, he went about his life and continued to be the cheerful person that he always was. Dan, also known as "Babbit", was a hardworking man and there was never a job too big or too small. He loved to work and many will agree that he was good at what he did. He was the type of man who could walk into a room and instantly brighten your day. Dan was full of energy and was never afraid to show it. He would dance around and sing out loud, would do anything to make you smile and even on your weakest days you could not help but smile back. Dan enjoyed going roller skating, riding motorcycles, and especially large banana splits. Dan had a smile worth a million words and he touched so many lives in so many ways. Dan was kind hearted and we are all honored and forever thankful to have been a part of his life. He was owner and operator of Babbit Builders, Waverly, NY. He also helped his wife, Sandra, in her business Myers Locksmith, Waverly, NY. He is predeceased by his brother Rick Fiske, and grandparents Grandma and Grandpa Latman, and Grandma Fiske, and mother-in-law Katherine E. Blake. Dan is survived by his wife Sandra Fiske of Myers Locksmith at home, daughters Joanna Fiske and Cassie Myers-Fiske of Waverly, NY, son Billy Jack (Billie Jo) Fiske of Waverly, NY, grandchildren Cameron, Deanna, Madison, Riley, and Rebecca Fiske all of Waverly, NY, mother Neva Fiske of Sayre, PA, father Richard Fiske of Elmira, NY, brothers Clark Fiske of Sayre, PA and Jeff Fiske of Sayre, PA, sisters Anna Scow, Nancy Cook and Bonnie Flandro of UT, niece Lisa Fiske, Monica Fiske, and Andrea Ackley-Fiske, nephew Casey Fiske, aunts, uncles, several other nieces and nephews, father-in-law Lloyd Myers, and many friends. Family and friends may call on Saturday, February 11, 2012 from Noon – 4pm at the Athens Township Volunteer Fire Hall, 211 Herrick Ave., Sayre, PA. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1pm at the Fire Hall with the Rev. Paul Blake officiating. The family is being assisted by the Jay E.
