I am very sad to learn about Carl’s passing. Carl was a dear classmate of mine and the AHS class of 1973.
In a sense, Carl and I grew up together. Although I don’t remember him in kindergarten, I do have clear memories of him In 1st grade w/ Mrs Seeger. I’m sure we went thru k thru 12 together, of which K thru 2nd was at the small East Side Elementary school, that doesn’t exist anymore. At East Side, a 3 room school, we pulled a rope to ring the recess bell. He is one (of the 2 or 3??) my original classmates from the East Side that I graduated with in 1973.
My memories of Carl in high school was that he was one of the smartest people in our class and that everyone liked him. He and Ron Hook (Hookie?) and Dawn Davis were the original tres amigos.
Please know, Carl’s family, that you are in my heart and thoughts. Carl was a wonderful person.
