John was a mentor when I was a med student. After a day’s work of seeing patients and doing procedures, he would sit down with me and teach me how to interpret ECGs. This put me way ahead of most of my classmates and inspired and helped become a Cardiologist years later. After completing my training, I joined the staff at Guthrie and worked with some of the finest physicians I have known throughout my career. I was so saddened to hear of his sudden passing after seeing him just a few months ago. My deepest sympathies to his wife, Dorothy, and family.

Doro, I am so sad to hear of John's passing. I always enjoyed bumping into him on his walk into town, as he always had a friendly greeting. I hope as time goes by your grief will lessen and your sweet memories of your life together will bring you comfort. Let me know if there's anything we can do.

Dorothy and family, I enjoyed working with John those many years ago. He taught me one on one about the heart and I appreciated every lesson. A really great teacher. He made working fun and always was ready for a laugh or a joke. I am blessed to have known him. My heartfelt condolances to all of you. He was a good man. Laura Babcock
