Bob and I were life long friends from High School till his death... some 55 years. He was always the kind/ compassionate person you see other people talk about in these obituary comments. I know he is in heaven looking down on us.

When I was homeless living in my car and contemplating on if I were gonna make it another week, George and Bob gave me a home. The first time I met Bob is when he decided to let me live there. The generosity and heart of this man who just met me is letting me live with him in his home threw me back.
George and Bob supported me for a year and a half while I was trying to get on my feet and finish school. They didn't charge me anything, kept me fed, paid to fix my car when I wasn't working, and even got me new clothes.
Without a doubt, Bob was the kindest giving man I have ever met in my life. I consider him an uncle and will regret not seeing him sooner.
Bob, I am sorry for not stopping by to see you. I will miss you
Love you,
Chris Stubbolo 3rd

There are no words to explain the pain and grief a person goes through when you loss a loved one...But you can help ease that pain with ALL the wonderful, beautiful memories that we all have of Bobby and hold so close to our hearts. Bobby had a great attitude about life in general. He was kind, caring, loving and always there for you. He will be missed but never ever forgotten. George, I can only imagine what your going through...but knowing how many people loved and honored Bobby, must make your heart feel good. With love always, Peaches

I met Bob when I was 15 and I though he was the best looking man I had ever seen. What a great smile! He became a brother to me. My family and I love him so much. He taught me not to let the little things in life get to me. He was funny and always ready to laugh and have fun. We miss you Bobby!

Bob and I were classmates at Sayre High Class of 65. He was a good friend.Indeed, he was as decent and kind individual as I have ever known.
In addition to our bond as SHS classmates we are both Navy veterans. And even though I saw the world during my enlistment, my SHS classmates (remember that great football team in our senior year) and our bucolic village of Sayre will always have a special place in my heart.
So rest in peace, Bob, I would have been been proud to have served in the Navy with you.

George, I am so so sorry to hear this awful news. I have many memories of Bob but the two that were the best was when I was visiting and staying at your house and Bob was taking care of business in PA. I got up in the morning, made myself a cup of coffee and proceeded to walk into the living room. Unaware of a step between the kitchen and the Living room. I missed it and my coffee went all over your white carpet!! You were on the phone with Bob when that happened and you told him not to worry about changing the carpet from white to brown because I took care of that for you. I heard him laughing through the phone!!! Sooo funny!! The second one was when the three of us went to spend the weekend with JoAnne and Leigh in Naples!! Well enough said about that!! He was a great guy and I will miss him when I am there visiting. Love you my friend!!

My heart breaks with Bobby's passing - the feeling of having lost a bit of something that was so good. Always a ready smile, always honest. I knew he always was going to have Janet's back no matter what and that is the kind of friend he was. Every time we were together was an occasion for a celebration, large or small. I am so grateful for sheer joy he brought our lives. Thank you Bobby - I am grateful for it all.

I first met Bob many years ago through my brother (Jim) and my sister (Janet,) and I liked him immediately. He had a way of telling things like they were, and you always knew where Bob stood. He was one of those people who, after having spent some time with him, always made you feel the better for it. Kindness, honesty, integrity, and a keen sense of humor are what I remember most about him - Bob always made you feel welcome and it made me feel good just to be around him. Living in Indiana, I was not able to spend as much time with him as I would have liked, especially in recent years. But I take solace in the fact that I will always have the memories of our times together, and the fact that I was fortunate enough to have had him as a friend. I will miss you, Bobby - rest in peace.

Today is full of memories and every single one of them is filled with happiness. Bob was someone special and he was always there for me when I needed him the most. Bobby will be in my heart for a lifetime. My heart simply aches with his passing. Love is not an easy feeling to put into words; either is loyalty or trust. Bob was all of these and loved life completely. He was a good hearted person who loved helping others.
I know in my heart that Bob would not want any of us to grieve for too long. Bob would want us to remember the good times we all shared with him. Bob, you are always with me - in my heart; in my thoughts; in my life - I will think of you and smile..
My friend; my brother; and now my angel. I love you Bobby! Janet

Many people don't know about Bob. He was a concert pianist. His first degree was in Subatomic Chemistry. His Master's Degree was in Education. He taught at Nova University. He also taught swimming at the Swimming Hall of Fame in Fort Lauderdale to Olympic hopefuls. He was fluent in French. He owned his own boat and everyone who knew him, knew how humble and modest he was. We owned season tickets to the Giants and gave them freely to all his friends. When he knew many of my friends liked the games we would give them to my friends on Long Island. It was such a pleasure to see them enjoy them. It gave him so much pleasure. Very few people knew of his accomplishments. He also was a part owner of one of the most successful restaurant in Fort Lauderdale. The most remarkable trait he possessed to anyone who knew him, was selflessness and compassion.
I recently recited Browings poem to him:
“Grow old along with me! The best is yet to be, the last of life, for which the first was made. Our times are in his hand who saith, 'A whole I planned, youth shows but half; Trust God: See all, nor be afraid!”
It was not to be for us

It was a pleasure to have spent time with Bob. His boyish grin and his kindness will always be remembered in my heart. The dinners we had together were something I
looked forward to each and every time. I will miss his witty sense of humor and the
giggle that would follow. Many a time Bob made life just a little easier for all of us with his charm and love. Words will never be enough to express the loss of such a good friend.

Bob was a beacon of hope in a somewhat trying world. He was a very close friend and always ready to enjoy a good time with others. Not only was he a good listener, but also an excellent audience. We shared many jokes and good times. Especially around the Christmas Holidays. We had the pleasure of meeting Bob through our mutual friend George.
Bob is and will be continually missed by all. Our heart goes out to George and friends who had the pleasure of knowing Bob and enjoying his company.

Bob has been such a big part of my life for over thirty years that it seems strange that he will no longer be a part of it. We have shared innumerable laughs and tears over the years and he was always a steadying influence. He has been a friend not only to me and my family but to numerous people both in Sayre and Florida. He will be missed by many but not as much as he will be missed by me.

Beth, few people shared our life as much as you. I think you spent more time in the hospital with us than on any job you had. There wasn't a time in 30 years where you weren't the first one there. No one will ever know what we went through. But through it all, we still had the hardest laughs. He loved you more than you could ever possibly know. as do I. You shared your entire life with us. I will always be grateful.

A light has gone out in our hearts, only to be replaced by another eternal light which will burn brightly. No one cared as much as you, no one gave as much as you, and no one loved as much as you. You were always there for me through the worst of times. You never once complained. I wish you had saved some of the care for yourself, but it was never in your nature.
How can anyone know how gentle you were and what you sacrificed for me and others. My heart aches for losing you so soon. I will always hear your laughter. Just know how much you were loved by so many people. I don’t think you ever realized what you meant in people’s lives. I will always love you.

Bobby was a true gentleman, always asking how I was doing/feeling. Spent a great Christmas Eve with Bobby, George, and other close friends. It was a special occasion for me, though it was not my holiday to celebrate. Smarty Pants and many of the staff and customers will miss Bobby's presence greatly. I will raise a glass of double-scotch in his honor the very first time I am able to rejoin my friends at the bar. George, you were a lucky man! Bobby, you are in my thoughts!!

Bob was the kindest, most gentle person I know . Every time we would see him he would ask if there was anything we needed or he could do for us . He was that way with everyone. He always came back with really good zingers in conversations. He worshipped the ground that George walked on . Always praised him to all . We will miss him so very much .
