Helen A. Hoose, 92, of East Smithfield, PA passed away Sunday, April 15, 2012, at Bradford County Manor, Burlington, PA. Helen was born on May 18, 1919 in East Smithfield, PA the daughter of the late Fred and Mildred Clark Andrus. Helen attended East Smithfield High School, graduating in 1937. She was employed with Remington Rand, Elmira, NY as a Relief Operator, retiring in 1971. Helen carried the mail for Star Route Milan and East Smithfield for a number of years. She is predeceased by her husband Fred Hoose, and brother Henry Andrus. Helen is survived by her children Roger Gene (Janice) Wright of Columbia CrossRoads, PA, grandchildren Elisa (Tom) Martz of East Smithfield, PA, and David (Leah) Wright of Easton, PA, 6 great-grandchildren, brother Ellsworth Andrus of East Smithfield, PA, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Friends and family may call on Saturday, April 21, 2012 from 1pm to 2pm at the Jay E. Lowery Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 225 South Main Street, Athens, PA. Funeral Services will follow at the Funeral Home at 2pm with the Rev. Stan Gill officiating. Burial will be in Tioga Point Cemetery, Athens, PA.
