Joshua E. Perry, 27, of Sayre, PA passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, March 3, 2012. He was born on December 28, 1984 in Sayre, PA the son of Daniel and Deborah Wells Lambert. Joshua was a 2003 graduate of Athens Area High School. He joined the U.S. Army in 2006, completed his basic training in 2006 as an MP. Joshua was stationed at Fort Drum, NY. From there he was deployed to Korea and Iraq, attaining the rank of Corporal. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his son, watching MMA, motorcycles and 4-wheeler riding, watching the Washington Redskins Football, and camping. He is predeceased by his grandfathers’ James Wells and Donald Perry, Sr. Joshua is survived by his son Haven Perry of Waverly, NY, the mother of his son Amber Howard of Waverly, NY, parents Daniel and Deborah Lambert of Sayre, PA, sister and brother-in-law Tiffany and Kevin Weinman of Athens, PA, brother Gavin Lambert of Sayre, PA, grandparents Margaret and Dick Chandler of Nichols, NY, Jewel Perry of TN, and Bea Fenchal of Roanoake, VA, nieces Zoey and Chloe Weinman of Athens, Pa and nephew Joey Rooke of Athens, PA. Friends and family may call on Wednesday, March 7, 2012 from 5pm-8pm at the Jay E. Lowery Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 225 South Main Street, Athens, PA. Funeral Services will follow at the Funeral Home at 8pm with the Rev. Richard and Sharon Lowery co-officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn National Cemetery, Elmira, NY.
