Thomas "Tom" Severn, 58, of Sayre, PA passed away on Saturday, April 7, 2012 at Robert Packer Hospital. He was born on July 19, 1953 in Sayre, PA the son of Robert and Dorothy Knouse Severn. Tom was known by many Valley residents. He attended BLaST Intermediate Unit #17 Classes in Athens and was attending Penn York Opportunities at the time of his death. He was a member of the Athens Boy Scout Troop. He is predeceased by his father Robert Severn, maternal grandparents Hazel and H.J. Knouse, and paternal grandparents Ollie and Robert Graves. Tom is survived by his mother Dorothy Severn of Sayre, PA, sister Mary Lou (Claude) Palmer of Waverly, NY, brothers Gary Severn of Sayre, PA, and Randy Severn of Sayre, PA, niece Maryanne Geiss of Waverly, NY, nephew Scott (Penney) Geiss of East Smithfield, PA, grand-nieces Elizabeth and Emily Geiss of East Smithfield, PA, several aunts, uncles, cousins, many friends, and his cat Piglet. Family and friends may call on Wednesday, April 11, 2012 from 1pm-3pm at the Jay E. Lowery Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 225 South Main Street, Athens, PA.
