June E. Wingard, 93, of Sayre, PA passed away on Friday, June 29, 2012 at Robert Packer Hospital following a brief illness. She was born on June 22, 1919 in Tire Hill, PA the daughter of the late Emma Sala. June enjoyed spending time with her family, doing crossword puzzles and needlepoint. She is predeceased by her husband Kermit Wingard in 1993, son Thomas, and daughter and son-in-law Aldine and Perry Will. June is survived by her children Lois and Robert Gisewhite of OH and Irene and Henry Nazak of Athens, PA, step-son Larry and Ginny Wingard of PA, and step-daughter Maryikay and James Lower, 11 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, 4 brothers, 1 sister, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Graveside Services will be held on Monday, July 2, 2012 at 10am Windsor Village Cemetery, Chapel Street, Windsor, NY. The family is being assisted by Jay E. Lowery Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Athens, PA. Burial will be in the Windsor Cemetery, Windsor, NY. Memorial donations may be made in June’s memory to a charity of one’s choice.
