Obituary of Marion Overrein

Marion B. Overrein, 93, formerly of the Valley and Horseheads, NY area passed away Monday, August 27, 2012 at My Family in Tucson, AZ following an extended illness. She was born on January 24, 1919 in Austinville, PA the daughter of the late Harley and Bessie Brown Porter. Marion was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. She enjoyed doing crafts of all kinds, but she loved bowling and did so up until the last two years when failing health stopped her from continuing. Marion was a member of the Eastern Star. She is predeceased by her 1st husband LeRoy Johnson, 2nd husband Harold Arnold, 3rd husband James Overrein, and brother Ivan Porter. Marion is survived by her children Joseph and Elizabeth Johnson of Sayre, PA, Allien and Allen Rightmire of Sayre, PA, and LeRoy and Claudia Johnson of Tucson, AZ, 12 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, numerous great-great-grandchildren, 1 niece, 4 nephews, and several cousins. Friends and family may call on Friday, August 31, 2012 from 6pm-7pm at the Jay E. Lowery Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 225 South Main Street, Athens, PA. Funeral Services will follow at the Funeral Home at 7pm with the Rev. Linda Rogers officiating. Burial will be in Bradford County Memorial Park, Luthers Mills, PA. Memorial donations may be made in Marion’s memory to: Guthrie Hospice, 421 Tomahawk Road, Towanda, PA 18848.
