Obituary of Sharlene Bogutski

Those we love don’t go away, they walk beside us everyday. Unseen, unheard, but always near, so loved, so missed, so very dear…….. Our hearts were broken, on Wednesday, August 1, 2012, with the passing of our wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister, Sharlene M. Bogutski, 88, of Athens, PA at Ashton Healthcare Facility. She was born on January 5, 1924 in Whitehaven, PA the daughter of the late Thomas and Veronica Ziminski Kindred. Sharlene enjoyed cooking, especially making pirogues, crocheting, and telling cute stories. She was one of the founding members of Penn York Opportunities, a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Altar & Rosary Society, and Legion of Mary, and taught Catechism Classes. Sharlene loved spending time with her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She is predeceased by her dearly beloved son Tommy, brother Robert "Bucky", sister Marie, twin brothers Melvin and Marvin, and brother Ronnie. Sharlene is survived by her husband of 58 years Joseph at home, daughter Barbara (Bob) Bean of Athens, PA, grandchildren Cindy Spezialetti, David Bean, and Brian (Mary) Bean, great-grandchildren Alicia Spezialetti, Dominic Spezialetti, Chad (Samantha) Bean, and Tonya Bean, brother Thomas " Buddy" (Rose) Kindred, sisters Bernice (Lew) Druffner, and Alice Patton, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Friends and family may call on Thursday, August 2, 2012 from 6pm to 8pm at the Jay E. Lowery Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 225 South Main Street, Athens, PA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, August 3, 2012 at 10:30am at St. James Catholic Church, 503 Clark Street, Waverly, NY. Burial will be in Bradford County Memorial Park, Luthers Mills, PA. A Time of Refreshments and Sharing of Memories will follow the Burial Services.
