Michael H.Vanderpool, 30, of Wysox, PA passed away on Saturday, October 29, 2011 at home unexpectedly. He was born on January 7, 1981 in Sayre, PA the son of Harold E. Strope and Patty Vanderpool. Michael enjoyed playing Bingo and Texas Hold ‘Em. He was a loving father, fiancé, and son. Michael had a wonderful sense of humor. He was an avid Pittsburg Steelers and Yankees Fan. He is predeceased by his father Harold E. Strope, grandfather Howard Vanderpool, and special grandparent Robert McManus. Michael is survived by his fiancé of 15 years Kristen McManus at home, daughter Allison Vanderpool at home, son Andrew Vanderpool at home, mother Patty Vanderpool of Sayre, PA, stepfather Carl Brewer of So. Waverly, PA, maternal grandmother Grace Vanderpool of Sayre, Pa, brother Scott Brewer, several aunts, uncles,nieces, nephews, cousins, and best friend Kenny VanDyke of Owego, NY. Friends and family may call on Thursday, November 3, 2011 from 1pm-2pm at the Alteri-Bowen Funeral Home, 314 Desmond Street, Sayre, PA. Funeral Services will be held at the Funeral Home at 2pm with the Rev. Dr. Karen Ballard officiating. Burial will be in the Stevens Cemetery, Pike Twp.
