Alice E. Tetreault, 92, passed away on Friday, March 02, 2012, at ElderWood at Tioga. She was born on June 9, 1919 in Sheshequin Twp., PA the daughter of the late Floyd S. and Bessie Bidlack Payne. Alice was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a member of the Waverly United Methodist Church and the Sayre and Athens Senior Citizens. Alice was employed with Ingersoll Rand, Athens Plant as a Machine Operator and also baby sat for several Valley families. She is predeceased by her husband Ephraim, grandson Brian Harding, sisters Mabel Fice, Marie Horton, Irene Rumsey, Phyllis Williams, and Ida Mastellar, and brothers L. Wilbur Payne, Fred Payne, and Floyd Payne, Jr., and Carlton Payne, and step-mother Mattie Myers Payne. Alice is survived by her children George (Nancy) Tetreault of Owego, NY, Robert Tetreault of Sayre, PA, Marie (Terry) Harding of Waverly, NY, and Peter (Beth) Tetreault of Canada, grandchildren Kelly Coneglien, Amy Nocchi, Lori Herzog, and Beth Morse, great-grandchildren Adam, Chris, Linzy, Trevor, and Taylor Nocchi and Joshua and Christopher Herzog, sisters Grace Scrivener, Shirley Saik, and Sylvia Higgins, and brothers Elmer Payne and Martin Stevens. A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, June 9, 2012 at Tioga Point Cemetery at 11:00 AM with the Rev. Anne Bey Canfield officiating. The family is being assisted by Jay E. Lowery Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Athens, PA. Burial will be in Tioga Point Cemetery, Athens, PA.
