Freeman W. "Bill" Smith, Jr., 51, of Athens, PA went home to be with the Lord on August 23, 2012 at home with his family by his side. He was born on December 2, 1960 in Sayre, PA the son of Freeman W., Sr. and Mary F. Harris Smith. Bill was an amazing fisherman and was well known throughout the Valley. He could often be seen in his jet boat skimming up or down the Susquehanna River catching Walleye or Bass. He was predeceased by a granddaughter Allison Frisbie, father Freeman W. Smith, Sr., and half-brother Robert "Bob" "Smitty" Smith. Bill is survived by his son Josh (Sarah) Smith of Sayre, PA and his two children Janie and Lylah, his daughter Victoria "Vicky" (Kyle) Frisbie of South Waverly, PA and their two children Alexis and Kyle, Jr, mother Mary F. Smith of Athens, PA, sisters Kathy (Steven) Streeter of Athens, PA, Rebecca Smith of Athens, PA, and Elizabeth "Dolly" (Robert) Killinger of Athens, PA, Sharon Smith of Ft. Myers, FL, brother Harry Smith of Athens, PA, and many aunts, cousins, nieces, and nephews. Largely attended Private Services were held at Bill’s home in Athens Township with many members of his family and long-time friends in attendance.
