I am deeply saddened to hear of Bruce's passing and want to express my sympathy to his family. My Uncle Herbert and Aunt Claire were favorites of mine as were all their children. I remember Bruce as smart, kind, handsome and always having time for us as children. He was one of our heroes and went out of his way to care for my mother in her later years. His Christmas letters were always a highlight of the Holiday season. My deepest sympathy to all.

My heartfelt condolences and prayers to all of the Family. As a student of his, ' Mr. Eike' was one of those memorable teachers who shared his passion for what he did and we students were much better off for having spent our formative science years w him. I was also lucky to have been in school with his daughter and son and it was easy to see that he and his wife's best works were these two. Hopefully as the days progress forward you will all continue to remember and cherish the warm memories and anecdotes of your father/husband as I have learned to do in the passing of my own a couple years ago. Take care and know heaven just became a better place with the addition of your dad.

I remember many times catching a ride with Mr. or Mrs. Eike to the skating rink, bowling alley, home from practice or a game. Always helpful, always caring, and Mr. Eike will be missed. I have enjoyed seeing the Eikes at Reese's in Sayre many times when I have been back to see my family. My condolences to Joan, Bruce, Barb, and all those who loved Mr. Eike.
