The last time I saw Bud, we were able to reminisce about the time we took Dad (Charles Harding)fishing. Warren and Jack had gotten Him down the river bank and into the boat.(He was paralyzed from the waist down.) The boys returned back to the house while we continued our adventure. What a joy it was for us to take Dad fishing. We floated down the river to the "great bass fishing hole." Dad was setting up his pole and reached to get in his tackle box; he already had a bobber in his mouth. Being top-heavy, he tumbled right over the side of the boat into the river. Bud and I both jumped in, grabbed Dad and got him to the end of the boat where he could hang on till we got him back to shore. Bud ran up to the house to get Warren and Jack. They got him back to the house and when Bud and I got there, Dad was all dry and drying his wallet out in the oven. The last time I saw Bud was the only time I can remember us ever laughing about this incident. We did have a good laugh that day. I am sorry I am unable to attend today, God bless you all, my prayers and thoughts are with you. Love, Marian Wise (cousin)
