Bernard R. "Bud" Lee, 77, of Athens, PA, passed away on Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at home with his loved ones by his side following an extended illness. He was born November 24, 1936 in Athens, PA the son of the late Perley and Florence Harding Lee. Bud was employed with the Ingersoll Rand Foundry, Athens for 42 years, retiring in 1999. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, golf, bowling, and camping. Bud loved feeding and watching the birds in his backyard. He loved his special friend, Billy. He is predeceased by his wife June, daughter Brenda, and sisters Eleanor Goble and Beverly Twigg. Bud is survived by daughters and sons-in-law Barbara and Kenn Twigg of Sayre, PA and Donna and John VonDauber of Hamilton, NY, grandchildren Casey and Austin Twigg and Matthew and Michael VonDauber, siblings and in-laws Bonnie and Donald Roberts, Jean Watkins, George and Sherry Lee, brother-in-law George Goble, several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Friends and family may call on Monday, January 20, 2014 from 11am-1pm at the Jay E. Lowery Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 225 South Main Street, Athens, PA. Funeral Services will follow at 1pm at the funeral home with Rev. James Donahoo officiating. Burial will be in Tioga Point Cemetery, Athens, PA.
