Hello Judy, David, Phyllis, and Jim, Sorry to read of your mother's and sister's passing. Our condolences to all the family. Our paths have not crossed for more years than I care to estimate, but relatives are always near in our memories and the good times we had together. Thelma was someone to look up to for her many achievements and will surely be missed. My mother, Frances Forrest Parmenter, has lived with me for more than 20 years since the passing of our husbands. She is 102 and in fairly good health despite her declining memory and mobility. Consequently, we do not get out of the house much. This is just a note to let you know we are thinking of all of you in your bereavement. With love, Joan Parmenter Macafee and Frances

No one has had nearly as positive an influence on my life as Thelma did. After being my Sunday school teacher for years, she was the camp director for NBI day camp. Every year by the time school was over, I was down in the dumps, but her training and camp always put me back on top and ready to face another year.

In tribute to Aunt Thelma, I want to express my deepest love and appreciation for her God honoring life! She was always faithful to lift up the name of Jesus at every opportunity. I believe it was her prayers that God answered to bring me into His Kingdom. Aunt Thelma began to teach me about God when I was very young. I loved to be around her because of her sweet spirit. It wasn’t until I became a Christian that I realized her sweet spirit was a result of spending so much time with the Lord. Through the years she has stayed in contact with me, no matter how far away in miles. I have watched God use her to touch the lives of many people. My prayer is that I might follow her example, of loving others, by pointing them to the Savior.

Thelma was a wonderful sister in every way! We were not just sisters because we were born into the same family, but more importantly, we were spiritual sisters; we were sisters in the Lord! It was such a blessing to know her on that level! I will miss her prayers, her laughter, her phone calls and visits, her spiritual encouragement in every situation, and her love! In recent years, she sent me “sister gifts and cards. One of the cards said, “My sister’s love is very special, one I will treasure through the years. We’ve played and laughed together and often shared many tears. But through life’s maze of problems, God placed a bond of love within, to unite our hearts in wisdom, changing sisters into friends. I have precious memories of my sweet sister, and I look forward to the day we are reunited in His presence! All my love and prayers to Judy, David, and the rest of the family, Aunt Phyllis

As I have been reflecting on all the memories. I cannot help but to remember how much my friend loved to dance. Recalling so many memories of that and as I do I think how happy she must be and the smile on her face now as she dances in heaven with her Lord and Savior. Miss you, my friend.

Dear lovely Aunt Thelma what a celebration for you Sister Christian! Thank you for being you, for showing us how to fight the unseen battles of darkness and bringing in the Almighty Spirit Power and Light . The Lord is good and loving. How wonderful to have His Victory prize now. Knowing you are with and see Our Lord is a fulfilling promise that you preached your whole life as you walked this Earth. Thank you Aunt Thelma for teaching me. Love is never ending.....

Aunt Thelma gave a lot of love and support for my family. I thank her for so many, many things but especially for her love, support, wisdom and contributions in the homeschooling of my children. She started me with awesome curriculum, insightful evaluations, but most of all helped us to journey more deeply with our Lord Jesus Christ through our education. Thank you Aunt Thelma, we love you!!!!

What a beautiful person in the Lord was Thelma. She was a tireless worker for the Church and loved people as she ministered in His Spirit. It was my privilege to work with her when I served as Pastor of Ist Presby. Ch. in Athens. She shall be missed by many as one who "Loved Jesus" dearly and sincerely. Rev. Joseph J. Gasper, Deltona, Florida

Dave, Judy and families, I am so sorry for your loss. A wonderful lady went home to be with her Lord and I just know that as He gives her rewards to her she is going to need a massive mansion to put them in. Today I have lost a dear friend, we shared so many memories, and we saw each other through some difficult times. I will see you again dear friend but then it will be rejoicing. I can only imagine and you now see it all. Remembering always!!!
