Obituary of Laurie Ann Hazelton

Laurie Ann Nolan Hazelton, 49, of Milan, PA, passed away on Monday, September 15, 2014 at the Robert Packer Hospital following an extended illness. She was born on November 22. 1964 in Rochester, NY the daughter of Donald and Joan Swartwood Nolan. Laurie graduated from Sayre High School in 1982. She served in the U.S. Air Force from 1983 until 1991. She enjoyed camping and spending time with her family. Laurie was a member of the American Legion Post #246, VFW Skiff-Bower Post #1536, and Sayre Christian Church. She is predeceased by her father Donald Nolan, sister Debra Jo Nolan Bailey, and maternal grandparents William and Anna Swartwood. Laurie is survived by her husband of 14 years Jonathan at home, son Justin Hazelton of Milan, PA, faithful companions Zeke and Pup Pup, mother Joan Nolan of Milan, PA, brother Douglas Nolan of Frostproof, FL, father and mother-in-law James and Regina Hazelton of Binghamton, NY, aunts Bobbe Besecker of Athens, PA and Nancy Swartwood of Milan, PA, numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins, and many friends. Friends and family may call on Friday, September 19, 2014 from 1pm-2pm at the Sayre Christian Church, 427 South Keystone Ave., Sayre, PA. A Memorial Service will follow at the Church at 2pm with the Rev. Kevin Arensman and Rev. James Donahoo co-officiating. Burial will be at the Tioga Point Cemetery, Athens, PA.
