I attended VFMA with Kip from the inception, i.e., plebe year to graduation, 1970, same "C" Co. He was a great guy, always had a smile on his face, just an all around nice guy. I live in Nicaragua and have not been able to attend the VFMA reunions, where one of the friends I always wanted to see again was Kip. My deepest condolence to his wife, children and, I'm happy to read, grand children. I am sure he was a great husband, dad and grand dad. Rest In Peace my forever friend, may God's angels now form your Company of friends.

I believe anyone who knew Kip feels a sense of loss on learning of his death. By his very nature, Kip occupied a warm, positive spot in everyone’s heart. Growing up on South Main Street together, the Kip I knew as a kid was the same Kip I bumped in to infrequently during trips back to the Valley as an adult. My heartfelt condolences go out to Sheila, the Crandall family, and everyone who was fortunate enough to play an active part in Kip’s life.

It was always a joyful time when "Kippie & Cammie" came to visit their grandmother, Mrs. Emma Shedden, who lived next door to us in Sayre. I have fond childhood memories of us playing together, birthday parties, and fun times at the family's swimming pool in Athens. I was truly saddened to read of Kip's passing.
