Dear Parshall Family
I am so sorry to have learned of Big Jon's passing. He had so much life within himself and shared it greatly with others. It's never easy to cope when a person such as Big Jon, who touched the lives of so many, is gone. How thankful we can be to have the marvelous hope to be reunited with our loved ones again in the near future. ( John 5:28,29) I hope that God's word the Bible helps you dear with such sadness. I knew that God had blessed me the day I met that man. He was the ultimate Man,Father;and friend. There wasn't and still never will be a thing I wouldn't do for the Parshall Family. It was an honor, and a great privilege to call him a great friend. I just hope and pray that I can be half the person he was. I know his body was tired, but that spirit of his will be here for eternity. Peg,Conrad,Colleen and Cathy, I thank you for the chance at being a great friend. I was so saddened to read of Jon's passing. We were neighbors growing up and our families had wonderful summer picnics in our backyard. Jon was also a guest speaker at an organization that I belonged to and I was amazed at the good information that he shared with us. 'every time' I went to Square Deal for the races,..-which is nearly every time, I'd greet Jon and chat at the edge of the bleachers, and every time we'd agree that we were having a great time -the time of our lives...watching the crazies racing that track. We both love that joint. A 'secret treasure' of great times and great people in today's troubling world
Funny thing, I never knew his name...until now. Just that I'd meet him there and we'd have a 'quality time' conversation. What a great fellow. I wish I'd had the time to get to know him more.

Words can't express the sorrow I feel today for the family I have always called my own. I will cherish all my memories of Jon. I've had so many wonderful times and am blessed to have had my life touched by the big man I have always called Uncle Jon. I know dad and Gerry are waiting at the gate with his stool from Johnny's and a beer in hand. He was truly an angel and now finally has his wings. RIP . Love to his family.
