Richard R. "Dick" Brennan, 76, of Athens, PA passed away on Thursday, January 22, 2015 at his home following an extended illness. He was born on June 25, 1938 in Sayre, PA the son of the late Raymond C. and Charlotte E. Stroud Brennan. Dick was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy. For years, Dick was a Self-Employed Fire Equipment Specialist. After retiring, he worked for Williams Auto Group in Sayre. Dick was also a Scuba Diver Instructor. He loved spending time with his family, especially grandchildren. Dick was an avid hunter and enjoyed spending time outdoors. He liked to golf and bowl. He was a member of the Sons of American Legion Post #246, Athens. He is predeceased by his daughter Michelle Brennan. Richard is survived by his wife Joyce Brennan at home, children Rick and Raymeta Brennan of Kershaw, SC, Stan and Sissy Brennan of Athens, PA, and Stacey and Tim Reed of Heathsville, VA, 10 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, 1 aunt, 3 uncles, and several cousins. Friends and family may call on Saturday, January 24, 2015 from 1pm-2pm at the Jay E. Lowery Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 225 South Main Street, Athens, PA. Funeral Services will follow at the Funeral Home at 2pm with the Rev. Glenn Maffey from the Church of the Redeemer officiating. Burial will be in Tioga Point Cemetery, Athens, PA.
