Dear Evans Family,
I am so sorry to hear about Bernie's passing. Losing a loved one to death is always a difficult process to go through and that's because we were not created to have to deal with such an enemy that faces us all. The pain of it all can overwhelm us. Please be assured that our Creator, Jehovah God, feels our deep loss and asks us at 1 Peter 5:7 to throw all our anxiety on him because he cares for us. Yes, he cares so much for you that he wants to reunite you with Bernie again in the future through the resurrection in the Christ (John 5:28,29). At that time all our tears of loss will be turned into tears of joy. What a momentous time that will be and never again will we have to experience death again (Revelation 21:3,4). I do hope these assuring promises from our loving Creator can bring you all some measure of comfort at this difficult time.

I was very sorry to hear of Bernie's passing. I have many great memories of Bernie and know he was very much loved by his family. I hadn't seen him in quite some time, but I will never forget his huge smile or his big laugh. Or the awful jokes he told me over the years. Back in the day, he enjoyed a good prank as much as the next person. This was a man who knew how to have fun and enjoy life. :)
My heart goes out to all of you. What a huge loss.

I am so saddened by the passing of Bernie, in the short time I knew him I became so close and my heart is breaking to know that our friendship was so short lived. I felt it a great honor to have been able to take care of him and provide him with some comfort in his time of need. RIP Bernie we will miss you.

Uncle Bernard, may you rest in Paradise. You will truly be missed. Thank you for your service to our country. Thanks for being the great uncle that you always been. I have so many good memories of the days growing up. Love you Uncle!
