I have many memories of my Uncle Howard. But one that has meant so much to me was when I was about 10 years old. We were having lunch at Grandma and Grandpa's. Uncle Howard said the prayer and it seemed like he was talking right to God. For a young child, it made quite an impression on me. He said ,"Thank You, Jesus." -and he meant it. It was not a prayer said out of duty-he was talking with Jesus, and he was so sincere. That has always stayed with me, and when I think about it now, it is beautiful. I also loved the quiet way he had. He was a very good man.
