Dear Pross Family,
We were deeply sadddened to hear of your loss. Peggy was such a sweet person and she left us all with such fond memories. Knowing her and Bob over the years was truly a pleasure. The Bible provides us with this promise at John 5:28,29. In this passage we are assured of the resurrection. At that wonderful time our tears of grief will be transformed into tears of joy. This sure hope was made possible by our loving Heavenly Father Jehovah through the sacrifice of his dear son Jesus Christ. May this promise bring you a measure of comfort at this painful time.

My love and prayers are with my family near and far as we grieve the loss of our wonderful Nana. May we celebrate the impact she has had in our lives that will never be forgotten. Her memory will live on through each of us. Let us be the awesome blessing to others just as she was to us.
2 Corinthians 1:3-4 “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.”

Beloved Family and Friends, while I am unable to be with you during this time, I am with you in spirit.
At times like this we often ask where is God?
In 2 Corinthians 1:3-7, Paul ( a man well acquainted with suffering) writes to the church in Corinth, "Praise be to the God, and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us, in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God. For just as the sufferings of Christ flow over into our lives, so also through Christ our comfort overflows. If we are distressed, it is for your comfort and salvation; if we are comforted, it is for your comfort, which produces in you patient endurance of the same suffering we suffer. And our hope for you is firm, because we know that just as you share in our sufferings, so also you share in our comfort."
How can suffering and comfort be so intermingled?
John 3:14-17 tells us, "Just as Moses lifted up the snake in the desert, so the Son of Man must be lifted up, that everyone who believes in him may have eternal life. For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn that world, but to save the world through him."
What greater suffering then for Jesus to step down to earth. Separating himself from the Father, he took our wrongs upon himself at the cross. What greater comfort then to know he knows our suffering and is the source of overflowing comfort.
May the promise of eternal life bring you comfort, peace, and joy. Love, love.

Cindy, Donna, John Schanbacher and the entire family,
Please accept my deepest sympathies for the loss of Peg (who will always, even though I'm 50, be Mrs. Pross to me!) She was a wonderful woman....having spent so much time with the Pross family both in their home and traveling with them as they graciously welcomed me to vacation with them once, she was always there with a smile, making you feel welcome and always going out of her way to be generous and kind. I can still see her warm smile in my mind's eye. I wish I were in the area to attend the services and see you all, especially Cindy whom I would love to see.(we recently moved to Texas) Again, I'm so sorry for your loss and I hope the good memories you have help ease the pain at this difficult time. My love to you all.
