Curtis was in the Angel Project with me. I was also in community service with him. This was 2010. Curtis was always smiling and had a very upbeat. He was one of my favorite boys. I always asked about him at the Angel Project community garden. I have thought of him often and was hoping he was doing well. With Curtis' death, I am very sadden because he will be surely missed by a lot of people. The world will not be same without him.

Jenny...I will forever love your son...Curtie was very special to me...he may have been rough around the edges but he had one of the biggest hearts.. Over the past few days I have cried and I have laughed at all the memories that I have of him and all of the time that he spent with Laura and I. I remember one Christmas he had you drive him over to my house and he put Lifesaver gummies in my mailbox as a present from him. Today I saw a boy with his big sneakers on...shoelaces not tied and the tongues hanging out and I immediately thought of him...it brought a tear to my eye...I am so proud of him because him overcame difficulties in his life and became a very responsible young man...To you Curtie..always remember that I love you and I will see you again and tell you how proud of you I am...and if they allow jeans hanging below your waist to be able to see your boxers in heaven....I will pull them up like I always did....and you will laugh at me as always...keep smiling that beautiful smile....
