R. Curtis "Curtie" Yingling, Jr., 23, went to be with the Lord on Monday, January 30, 2017 at the Altoona Hospital, Altoona, PA. He was born on August 27, 1993 in Clearfield, PA, the son of Richard C. Yingling, Sr. and Jenny (Brown) Wick. Curtie attended Athens Area School District. During his time there, he was an outstanding wrestler and formed many special relationships with his coaches and teammates. He loved hunting, target shooting, hiking, kayaking and especially jeeping. He was a member of the IBEW 126, Houtzdale. He was preceded in death by his father Richard Yingling, Sr., and paternal grandparents, George and Betty Yingling. Curtie is survived by his best friend and partner, Jannell Foster of Morrisdale and their faithful companion Nismo, mother Jenny (Durvin) Wick, stepfather, Tim (Stephanie) Robinson of Athens, PA, step-sisters, Michelle (Andrew) Watkins, of Athens, PA and Tricia (Jonathon) Campbell of Athens, PA, step-brother, Jamie (Macy) Robinson of Sayre, PA, nieces, Mackenzie and Maci Campbell, Lilley Watkins and Layla Robinson, maternal grandmother, Mary Rassmussen of Clearfield, PA, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He also leaves behind many other family members and close friends who loved him dearly. Friends and family may call on Saturday, February 11, 2017 from 1pm-3pm at the Jay E. Lowery Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 225 South Main Street, Athens, PA. A Memorial Service will follow at the funeral home at 3pm with the Rev. Linda Rogers officiating.
