Lori and John. I am so sorry for the loss of your Mom. She was a very nice woman. I remember in high school that she sewed up a jacket for me so I wouldn't get in trouble with my Mom. She did it with no hesitation. I was very grateful. Prayers for you and your families in your time of sorrow. Shelley Covey Perry

Lori & family, John & family - Thinking of you all during these sad, difficult days.Your mom has been my friend for 66 years-since our college days and what good times we had at work & in our private lives. Some of those are ice skating, dorm life, conferences, teaching, and just getting together to chat. Gene too will remember her as being one of his faithful staff that cared for her students. We both will miss those moments. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

Sincerest sympathy to the Allford family. Wanda and her husband William (Bill) were college classmates of mine at Mansfield State Teachers College in the 1950's. Bill grew up in West Pittston, PA the same years I grew up in neighboring Exeter Borough. The last time I saw Wanda was at our 50th class reunion at Mansfield STC. May she rest in peace and once again enjoy Bill playing his trumpet. Wanda's mother and I both taught at Hopkins St. school in Elmira, NY.

I am very sorry for your loss. Bill and Wanda were great people, teachers and mentors. I have never met anyone that could compare to them. Growing up they both taught me in and out of the school system. I spent many summers and other times practicing at their house. Mrs. Allford was awesome, she would bring drinks and cookies while i practiced. She taught me how to sew, cook and even bake. Yes it is something to hear a 48 yo man say that but i cherished the time i spent with both Bill and Wanda and i will never forget them. I only wish life was never ending so that every child could experience the most wonderful man and woman i have ever met.

So sorry to learn of Wanda's passing. My sincere condolences to Lori and John and their respective families. My family and I have very fond memories of living along side Bill and Wanda on Second Street in Athens. I can recall many visits with Bill and Wanda over the years once they (and we) left that Second Street address and I recall visits with Wanda after Bill's passing. Prayers to all the family. Sorry I can't make the services but my thoughts will be with you all.
