I want to send my sincere condolences to the family of Ivan J. Blackman. I am the son of Manly S. Blackman and "Uncle Joe" was one of my favorite uncles. I can still remember the times that I went skating at Joy Crest Skating Rink in Elmira NY and would see Uncle Joe skating. He was by far a much better skater than I could ever be and it was always fun to watch him skate and dance to the music on his skates.
I always looked forward to the holidays and having the chance to go to Grandma Blackman's to see Uncle Joe and the rest of the gang. Uncle Joe was always loving and gracious to all of us and I will truly remember him. Thank You Uncle Joe for being the best uncle and for the wonderful memories that I shared with you.
