I knew Eva through her visits to the Center for Coastal Studies and her love for whales and whale watching. She was well known to all of us, for her enthusiasm and knowledge, and for the memorable moments she provided, including her manicures featuring whales' tails on each fingernail. We share with her family, many friends, former colleagues and students, in her loss.

I have told Eva stories for many years. Always told with a smile. An amazing woman who touched so many hearts and minds. You my friend have left you mark on this world and may your legacy of love of science and the value of education live on for ever. My sincere condolences and prayers for all those who will be missing you.

I worked with the amazing Eva at Towanda. She could light up a room with her smile and friendliness. We shared a love of science and she was the science fair. She made it successful year after year and helped many students share her fondness for the subject of science. You will be missed and will be in our hearts when we see the beauty of a lighthouse. Rest in piece.

Eva was a true friend and so interesting. I thoroughly enjoyed our conversations about politics, religion, the American Indians, history, Irish music, growing up in The Valley, and photography. Eva joined our classmate-luncheons and we took a glass-fusing class where she made some beautiful necklaces. Ten days ago Eva and her sister, Vicki, visited my studio and we had fun and lots of laughs--especially about the story of Eva's "Catholic cat who attended Sunday Mass"--what a riot. Little did I know that was to be our last visit. Peace out, dear friend.

So very sorry to hear of Eva's passing. As children we spent lots of time together and Eva would even take me to school with her sometimes. She greatly missed. Many happy memories I will cherish.
