I was sorry to read of Bud's passing. I knew him when he was just a little boy living on Providence Street in Waverly in the early 1940s. His sister, Bertha, was my best friend. Will you please send my condolences to Bertha and ask if she remembers the Dailey family. I treasured her friendship and missed the family when they moved to Athens. Please tell Bertha I married a boy from North Carolina, became a teacher and have lived all my adult life in N. Carolina. I have two sons and three grandchildren. I recall when their mother grieved over the death of two (I think) infants and how all the neighbors rallied around to help them with food and funeral expenses. Bud was a cute, sweet little boy who was loved by everyone. My condolences to all the family during this sad time. Marian Dailey Holbrook, Kure Beach, NC.

Dave and family we are so sorry to hear about your dad, he was a great person I remember he called bingo and was funny always helping out. Seeing him at the kids games now he will watch over all of you and he will be right there when you need him as your guardian angel

I am so sorry to hear of Bud's passing. In 1989-1990 I worked with Bud in the HR department at IR as part of the school-to-work program. He and John Dugan were amazing mentors and "father" figures. I truly enjoyed my time working with them.
May your memories and his love carry you through this time.

Bud it was sad to hear you were sick and then the next day that you had made the big home run and we're heading home. I'll miss you on my visits back to the valley, but Willy during port Penn State for you as they are my team Aldo. I wish you happiness in heaven and hope to see you in 10 - w20 years.
