I knew Matt from procare. I worked at the front desk and my daughter Emily was a tech. Her and Matt had a lot of laughs and talks while she had him do his exercises. I am in Tanzania Africa right now but saw this notice yesterday on Facebook. I was shocked and sad for you all. This is so hard to write.
Never thought we’d have to say good bye to Matt so soon. We took for granted that Matt would always be there to text something funny, tell Vive and I to STOP, or give a genuine hug to anyone who needed it. He was a gentleman through and through and loved his family and friends like we all should. He never left you guessing how he felt about you- he was so open with his feelings and let you know.
You will be missed, Mattikins. Thank you for teaching the rest of us how we should love one another. You were a great man and so many memories of you will live in my heart.
Always here for your family who I love like my own. God bless all of those hurting at this very difficult time. ❤️

I am so sorry for your loss. I attended high school with Matt and graduated with him. I remember how kind he was. I remember his b'day was the day before mine and he was an all around nice person. I am very sad and sorry to hear that Matt had passed away.Matt and I sat down and talked for awhile after he voted and then we walked out to his vehicle which Joshua was driving. Matt always had a smile and a laugh when talking with him even though he was in pain.God Bless You Aviva and the family. My Dear Family,
It is with a heavy heart that I send this condolence. Matt was just one of the good guys. Every time we saw each other, whether it was just running into each other on the street or at a family event, he was so nice and had the kindest things to say to me. His smile would light up a room or even an outdoor gathering. He will rest so peacefully now or maybe not...maybe now he will be doing all the things he wanted to do these past few years but couldn't...that's what I think. I know he was greeted by so many loving family members; Grandma Shaffer at the head of the line...I'm not able to be there for you all in person but I am there in Spirit and Love XOXO to you all!

My favorite memory of Matt was the day I went to the chiropractor for the first time. He was chatting with me in the waiting room and then was called back before me. Next thing I heard was him screaming and yelling like he was in deep pain. Then I heard the doc laughing and yelling at him for being a jokester and trying to scare me, which by the way, had worked! I also remember having a deep and very hilarious discussion with him about the Muppets.
Matt was an amazing man, and I will miss him calling me little lady. Love to you all.
