Philip R. "Duz" VanDuzer, 59, of Sayre, PA passed away Thursday, March 15, 2012, at home surrounded by his family following an extended illness. Philip was born on April 3, 1952 in Fort Worth, TX the son of Raymond and Phyllis Gilbert VanDuzer . Philip enjoyed sports, hunting, fishing, camping, golfing, and he loved going to the track to watch the horses and place his bets. He played on the last undefeated football team for Sayre High School. Philip enjoyed spending time outside in his garden and the overview of the Valley. He is predeceased by his mother Phyllis VanDuzer. Philip is survived by his children Jamie and Missy VanDuzer of Sayre, PA, Scott VanDuzer of Sayre, PA, and Todd VanDuzer of Poughkeepsie, NY, grandchildren Brelin, Kannon, Mazlin, and Afftyn VanDuzer, dad Raymond VanDuzer, brother Daniel VanDuzer, and brother and sister-in-law Marvin and Barb VanDuzer, nieces Tandi VanDuzer, Tracy Wetzel, and nephew Eric and Alicia VanDuzer. Friends and family may call on Sunday, March 18, 2012 from 1pm - 2:00pm at the Jay E. Lowery Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 225 South Main Street, Athens, PA.
